Paterson Arran
Tradition with a Twist
Welcome to the online home of Paterson Arran...
Our journey from a husband and wife team selling home baked oatcakes in Rutherglen, Scotland, to one of our country's best known and much-loved food companies would have been beyond even the wildest dreams of Mr and Mrs John Paterson as they started out in the 1890's.
Today, our master bakers continue to draw on traditional methods combined with today's technology and resources to make your favourite products. Our success is built on a simple formula: good quality food from clean, sustainable ingredients.
Our company may have a different look from when it was conceived nearly 120 years ago, but one thing remains a constant - the immense pride each and every one of our employees takes in being part of its ongoing traditions: something well recognised in our high level of external accreditation.
We care about the environment and are committed to achieving sustainability across our business to help protect the planet for future generations. Actions include removing palm oil from our oatcake range in 2002; lifetime membership of the Borneo Orangutan Foundation; cutting down on waste and energy use (ahead of Climate Change Agreement targets) and more recycling. We have been awarded with the prestigious ISO14001 accreditation for environmental management and commended at the VIBE Scotland awards (Vision in Business for the Environment).
Livingston and the Isle of Arran, Scotland are the homes of our brands. Have a look round our site and read about our range of shortbread or delicious, premium biscuits under our Cafe Bronte brand. Or why not have a look at our Arran range, home of the famous Arran Mustard? If you have any questions about any of our products or a trade enquiry from overseas then please get in touch. We'd love to hear from you!
